This is a GREAT introductory kit. The astrology & chakra info is superbly handled. Anyone who has experience with the runes or crystals may find some of their correspondences/keywords a bit off. There is a reference to a UK-based company (out of date address) that offers an extension set of 7 stones; but it is no longer offered. The 12 stones are small (about half to three-quarter inch size) but good quality. You may want to laminate the approximately 9" square cardboard wheels to preserve them. Everybody & anybody will has been fascinated by crystals should give this kit a try. There is so much to learn from it. Because of the organization the book it allows you to use the crystals the same way as Tarot cards. This kit is unique in including astrology(twelve houses), rune symbols, five elements, chakras, planets, and its own symbols on 3 different boards. Onto which you cast out crystals to heal, divinate, and also get immediate, direct answers. Even though it is packed with such information, it is demonstrated in a way that beginners can interpret. I recommend this kit to beginners, such as myself, who feel a strong connection to these long-lived crystals.

I found this book to be extremely helpful in setting up a website recently. It is well written, and easy to understand. To be fair, I am an employee of Informix. However, I have used this book extensively and have found it wonderfully helpful. If you plan on using the Informix web datablade, you'll want this book on your desk.

This book is very important for the exotic animal practicioner. The division in species makes very easy to find the information required, and the charts are very useful. The book contains only necessary information, so the text is short and specific. Another good factor is the size and cover of the book, easy to carry.

While reading a magazine recently I came across an excerpt of this book in connection with the scandal surrounding a certain R&B artist. Enough has already been said about that. I immediately ordered a copy of this book and I must say that I was very impressed. This book is honest, raw and deals with a myriad of subjects that the church either refuses to deal with or politely ignores. I, for one appreciated how open and upfront he was in his confrontation of the issues that plague the church today. It is a must read for anyone involved in ministry of any kind. This is a gentleman that will provoke spirited dialogue given the right atmosphere and people who are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Spiritually we are as close to scraping the bottom as I've ever witnessed. He addresses all of this and then some. I encourage Pastors, lay counselors, those committed to working with youth to read this book and pass it on. If we're not committed to finding a solution then in my opinion we're only aiding the problem. If we don't invest in our youth, there are millions of things for them to find themselves involved with and the majority of those options are not positive. Give this author and book a chance. Even while reading this book at work, co-workers wanted to know what the title meant and why I would be reading about that topic.
There's an old saying, "don't judge a book by its cover." This is just an example of that.

If you have never read Harrison, this is a great place to start. An entertaining read and fine introduction to the humor, wit, and insight of one of our most engaging authors. You'll hear Harrison's voice for weeks after finishing this book. And you'll want to read more.

This is an incredible book that drove me into a writing career. Jim Harrison has the rare ability to write about people, not heroes or monsters. You leave this book feeling the story may be exaggerated, but that these people were real. Stumbling upon this book in high school opened my eyes to the joys of character-driven stories. It's a bad road trip, but one you'll be glad you took.

This is a book of short stories. Many of them got me to think about things in a different way that I probably wouldn't have ever thought of! One of these was titled "Sex in the Old Days"; it wasn't quite what I expected from the title! This would be a great book to take along with you if you have small periods of time to fill in (the doctor's office, waiting for a bus...). I'm looking forward to reading more of this author's books.

I really enjoyed this book. If you are depressed, the many short stories will perk you up. I could relate to many of the stories, took me back many years. My favorite was LITTLE TYKIE. A book that will be read over and over. This would be a great book to give as a gift.
